Karen Arnold, 67, of Corning, Ark., passed away February 7, 2016, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. Mrs. Arnold was born May 29, 1948, in Knobel, Ark. She worked for Monroe in Paragould and enjoyed crafts. Survivors include a son, William (Lisa) Naney of Rector; her siblings, Connie Stormes of Knobel, Lavadna Farmer of Knobel, Lula Taylor of Jonesboro, Kathy Smith of Knobel and Michael Archer of Paragould; her grandchildren, April Green and Autumn (Nick) Dillon and her great-grandchildren, Hayley Naney, Libby Green and Jaxon Dillon.. ...

Frances Louise Oxley, 95, of Piggott, Ark., passed away February 5, 2016, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott. She was born on January 20, 1921, in Clay County, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Ott W. and Amy Pearl (Looney) McDowell. She met her husband while riding in a horse-drawn wagon. They had passed him on foot, and he ran to catch up and tell her how cute she was. He eventually sweet-talked her into marrying him on Oct. 14, 1942, and to this union two daughters were born...
